Fake NAS

As it is commonly accepted,  NAS (Network Attached Storage), is a storage device including several hard drives and connecting via the network. However, there exist such devices, for example Western Digital My Book Studio Edition II, which have much in common with NAS but, on the other hand, do not match the NAS definition because these data storage devices use Local Area Network interface instead of network. As regards an operating system, it is good old Linux with its RAID driver (md).
